Born 1964 in Yokohama City; lives in Tokyo. After having worked under some of the leading graphic designers in Tokyo, she moved to New York City in 1988 and worked as an art director for numerous advertising campaigns. Upon returning to Japan in 1991, she founded APOLLO STUDIO in Tokyo. Started her art project titled "drawing by thread (later she named this art form MUSHIN Project)" portraying her daily emotions by sewing randomly on the piece of cotton cloth, followed by the projects using more diverse mediums. Throughout the projects her constant message is the ambivalence she experiences in the daily lives and the common human behaviors.
